Why email links

Why no password?

A password is one more thing for you to invent and for us to protect. A one-time link does the same job: it proves you can read that inbox.

What do you do with my address?

It identifies your account and holds your credits. That's it — no marketing email, no selling it on. See the privacy page.

Someone could request a link for my address.

They could, and it would land in your inbox, not theirs. Without clicking that link nobody reaches the account. If one shows up unexpectedly, ignore it.
